§ 10-6. Garbage and trash receptacles and collection generally.

  • In addition to recycling bins and other receptacles containing recyclables each residence shall maintain a suitable metal or plastic container that is intact and without holes, not to exceed thirty-two (32) gallons' capacity covered with a tight-fitting intact lid, for the storage of garbage and trash. The abovementioned recycling bins, recyclables, and containers shall, from 7:00 p.m. on the day prior to collection until 7:00 p.m. of the day of collection, be placed at the curb or on the outside of the building and at a place which is readily accessible to the collector. If these bins, recyclables, and containers are kept on the outside of the building at any other times, they should be placed to the rear of the front building line and in the case of trash containers kept covered with a tight-fitting intact lid.
