§ 15-4. Same—Duties of committee.

  • The duties of the health and sanitation committee shall be to conduct public hearings and direct investigations into complaints or inquiries raised by residents of the Town of Cheverly with respect to matters of health or related nuisances, including but not limited to:

    (a)

    Matters relating to the enforcement of and compliance with ordinances and regulations of the town concerning health and related nuisances.

    (b)

    Alleged unsanitary conditions or conditions detrimental to health.

    The committee shall recommend actions to resolve such complaints and inquiries. As appropriate, the recommendations shall be to the mayor and council or to the Prince George's County health department. The committee shall establish regulations and procedures to govern the conduct of its hearings and investigations.
