§ 4-13. Violation and penalties.

  • Violation of section 4-3, if that violation is caused by a person by a having an animal that is fierce, dangerous, or vicious or is not licensed according to the ordinances and regulations of Prince George's County, shall be declared to be a misdemeanor. The penalty for violation shall be one hundred dollars ($100.00) or thirty (30) days in jail for the first violation, two hundred dollars ($200.00) or sixty (60) days in jail for the second violation and two hundred dollars ($200.00) or ninety (90) days in jail for each subsequent violation within twenty-four (24) months. The penalty for violation of any other provision of this chapter is declared to be a municipal infraction. The penalty for violation of any other provision of this chapter shall be twenty-five dollars ($25.00) for each initial offense, fifty dollars ($50.00) for the second offense, and one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each subsequent offense within twenty-four (24) months.
