§ 20-14. Entertainment and social gatherings.

  • It shall be unlawful for a person, entity, or group to hold or sponsor amusements, theatrical exhibitions, cabarets, dances and other gatherings for social or recreational purposes to which the general public is invited, or admission is charged, without having on the premises a valid permit therefor from the town. The town administrator shall issue appropriate regulations regarding information required on the application for permit, insurance and bond requirements, time limits, hours of operation and reasons for revocation of a permit. Performances in schools by school groups are excluded from these requirements.
