§ 24-19. Cleated vehicles, heavy equipment on streets.

  • Unless specific permission is given by the mayor and town council or their designated representative, it shall be unlawful for any person, firm, contractor or corporation to operate any vehicle containing cleats which will break the surface of the street, or to load the vehicle in excess of the limits specified in the county standards for residential roads. Bond against damage to the streets of the town by use of heavy equipment exceeding the load limits of such streets shall be furnished by any person, corporation or agency requesting permission to use such streets for such equipment.
