§ 24-18. Specifications for parks, triangles, traffic islands and parking strips; performance bond.

All parks, triangles, traffic islands and parking strips proposed by a builder or developer are to be according to specifications agreed on in writing between the builder or developer and the mayor and town council or their designated representative. Such specifications, to be submitted in duplicate, shall contain a detailed cost estimate. A performance bond covering the full amount of the estimate shall be furnished by such builder or developer at the time permission to proceed with the development is granted by the mayor and town council or their designated representative. Such performance bond shall be forfeited and the work undertaken by the town if it has not been completed by the developer within three (3) months of the completion date specified in the agreement with the mayor and town council.
