§ 26-14. Restrictions against assignment of franchises.

(a)

Franchises shall not be sold, transferred, leased, assigned or disposed of, in whole or in part, either by sale, merger, consolidation, bankruptcy or otherwise, without prior consent of the town by resolution, and then only under such conditions as may therein be prescribed.

(b)

Any change of ownership or management organization not acceptable to the town shall be grounds for termination of the franchise.
